QuasiCon brings information professionals and students together to discuss what libraries and archives can do for you! We aim to promote a safe space for building conference skills, facilitating networking, and sharing experiences and ideas in an interactive format.
This theme of the 2020 conference is Innovation and Design in Libraries and Archives. Some suggested areas of interest within this theme include UX design in libraries, archives, and digital repositories; digital curation; innovated services in libraries; DEI in libraries; innovated outreach in libraries and community archives; digital education; digital humanities; and much more!
We do not require that your proposal relates to the theme. If you have something that you think is interesting and it relates to libraries or archives then please submit a proposal!
We welcome presentation proposals from all areas of study at UMSI.
QuasiCon has several traditional conference presentation formats but we are also looking for innovative and original demonstrations of non-traditional library/archives methods and tools. Examples include demonstrations of makerspace activities, non-traditional collections and hands-on technology exhibits.
Presenters are allowed (and encouraged!) to present more than once during the conference.
Proposals will be accepted on a rolling basis from now until one week prior to the conference. Presenters can expect to hear back about the status of their proposal within one week after submission.
QuasiCon 2020 will take place on Saturday, February 22, 2020.
