The American Library Association Student Chapter at the University of Michigan School of Information is a student organization devoted to promoting an interest in libraries, librarians, and library science within the University of Michigan School of Information. We hold professional development events, speaker panels, conferences, peer advising, and social activities for the entire School of Information.
Our members are interested in academic libraries, public libraries, special collections, children and young adult librarianship, improving library services, archives, electronic services, computer-human interactions, data analytics, web development, information architecture, and many more traditional cutting edge areas relevant to contemporary libraries. We are proud of our relationships with the University of Michigan School of Information, the University of Michigan Library System (MLibrary), and with the American Library Association.
